Run
Comments: It had been raining for several days & was still raining. There were puddles everywhere. It was cool & breezy. My perfect running weather! Felt great the whole race, splashed in lots of puddles. Got soaked to the bone and loved it. Started off strong, felt slow midway through but picked it up for the end. Got passed in the last 3/4-1/2 mile and didn't like it so I passed them right back en route to the finish chute. ;) Ended up placing 1st in my AG out of 8, and I had NO idea otherwise I would've stuck around for an award or whatever. They were very slow in posting the results, it was still raining and I wanted to get my free Christmas tree loaded & home to decorate. What would you do differently?: Nothing! Maybe be mentally stronger at the midpoint of the race. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, prepped my car for the 9' noble fir tree to take home to the family What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental mind stuff Event comments: LOVED the free Christmas tree! I will do this race next year even if only for the free tree! Registration was only $25, the tree itself is worth $80-90 (9' tall noble fir). The tree guy didn't think it would fit in my Prius, little did he know that it fit just fine, and I knew it would! We had almost a foot to spare at the front. ;) Last updated: 2010-12-21 12:00 AM
