OK, who's in? This'll be my second half marathon. I did Columbus back in October.

What's your primary goal in this race? A particular time? Just to finish? Let's hear it!

Well, I've been considering it for a while . . . haven't registered yet, but probably will soon . . . the full marathon, that is.

Now tell me, how are those hills in the first few miles?  Anything similar to the Derby Mini course (Louisville) from last year?

I'm in. This will be my second half as well. I ran the Toledo (Glass City) HM last April.

My goal for the pig is to finish in under 2 hours and to have fun doing it. My first HM was not very fun. It was quite foggy and cold and I did not know anyone there. I am running the pig with a friend and hoping for some sunshine.

I'm not sure about those hills as I haven't raced it or trained on it before. Congrats on gearing-up for the full! Here's to good weather that day!

Congrats on finishing your first half, though I'm sorry it wasn't a good experience! That's a great goal to have. Definitely hoping for the sun's rays, too.

I'm training with the Running Spot for the 1/2 Pig (that's so fun to say!!!)  I have a training partner, and she and I ran 3 miles last night with our dogs.  We start with the Spot training group on Saturday and I am really excited!

This time last year if someone would have told me I was going to run a 5K or a 10K let alone a 1/2 marathon I would have said they were nuts.

But I love saying "I am training for a half marathon and triathlons" now - it's COOL!

Cool  (that's me with my cool running shades when the weather gets warm again)

Goal?  Right now it's just to finish, which I know I wll.  As I progress with the training group I will have a better idea of a time to shoot for.  I will set a time goal, I promise!

I've been told that the swag for this race if off the hook.  I think I'm in for the 1/2 (as long as Twink lets me crash at her place).

My goal is to beat my Cap City 1/2 time.

Huh, huh, Duh Aysel of course you're crashing at my place. I'm in for the Half Pig as well...although this will be more of a training run then a race for me as I have a longer race at the end of May planned (damned Tri Daddy).

ETA: AmyDee it only gets better chick, it only gets better. I was in the same boat as you a year ago Here's to a great first season of running and triathlon for you. Cheers!

I'm in for the 1/2 for sure. I've been told that the first half is where the majority of the hills are so need to find some hills to train on instead of the dreadmill.

Happy Training

Julie
