the smell of onions cooking
climbing naked in between fresh sheets after a hard ride and a shower, in the middle of the afternoon
the feel of my dog resting his head on my arm when we're on the couch 
the feel of a long luxurious massage on tired (but not sore) muscles
the sound of the silence and expectation just before the start of a great concert or play  
the feel of a whip cracki
the warmth I feel when I see I touched somebody
the sight of a woman excited to see me (if I remember correctly)
the sound of waves lapping on the hull and the sun on my face as I doze in the cockpit

Oh, wait, uhm, I meant my wife, oh yeah, I don't have one, well, I meant, uh, can somebody delete this post?

I Love the feeling of fresh, clean, warm underwear right out of the dryer on a cold morning
I Love the atmosphere and smell of friends and family around a bonfire on a clear night
I Love the smell of wet asphalt
I Love tri training
I Love it when my dog snuggles next to me for a belly rub

I love the feel of the sun rising and shining on my face on a crisp fall morning.

The stars on a really clear night.

I love cold, crisp mornings sitting in my deer stand with a hot thermos of coffee.

I love listening to my youngest daughter play the piano.

I love watching my oldest daughter swim.  She's like a torpedo in the water.

I love it when my wife puts her hands on my back.  I instantly feel tension leaving my body.

It took me a long time to learn to waft instead of stick my nose in things to smell them. In photo class in high school the labels always fell off our bottles and we had to sniff them to figure out which bottle each solution was in. I stuck my nose down in a bottle of concentrated fixer and took a deep whiff. I think I may have blacked out. But I finally learned to waft things instead of smelling directly.

Snowflakes melting on my eyelashes while my nose is cold

A warm campfire

Brownies fresh from the oven

... how peaceful and beautiful my little girls are when they are sleeping
... the sound of my girls laughing
... the beautiful, intelligent, caring, wity young woman my teenage daughter is turning into

... standing in the woods after a heavy snowfall on a calm day with the snow on the trees

... hearing my daughter read books to her little brother, and how she totally gets into each character's voice and expressions. Did I mention she's 8?

... hearing both daughters as they breathe heavily after finishing a 400 or 800 meter race from the exhaustion of knowing they gave it their best shot.

... the smell of slightly wet leaves on the ground after a warm late-September shower on a college campus.

... the slightly burning sensation of really good spicy Mexican food.

... the texture of warm whole wheat cinnamon toast for a late-night snack.

... the sound of the brook in the canyon as it tumbles downhill as I struggle to pedal up the hill.

... feeling my wife kissing my neck or chest.

... the tired feeling of not-yet-sore muscles after a really good workout.

... the sound of thunderstorms in the distance, as they gradually increase in intensity and decrease in proximity.

... the feel of a cool mist on a morning run in the fog.

... the weight of a finishers medal being placed around my neck after a marathon PR.

... the sound of laughter echoing down from my son's room as he plays contentedly with his toys.

... the smell of freshly-baked cinnamon rolls.

... the smoothness of really good European chocolate.

...the smell of napalm in the morning.  I guess, to be more precise, the smell of victory.

...the feeling that comes when, after days of planning, hours of pre-mission tension, and a few minutes of pure adrenaline (with an occasional sprinkling of pure terror), another bad guy is taken down

...being one with the machine, unable to do wrong

Never tried that before... I don't think I've ever even SEEN it...



Especially the Southern Comfort Vanilla egg nog.

Need to add I love .......

I also want to add that I love when "they" turn on the mountain in my new home area.

ETA:  I've heard threads are useless without pics...and I agree!!
