Kennesaw, Ga. Anything to do here for Tri workouts?

It is also nice because it is a short run/ride to Kennesaw Mtn.

The silver comet wouldn't be too far away. Kennesaw mountain for hill repeats on the bike and GREAT running trails. Pool next to the cobb civic center might work as well. Outside of that pool is a track to run on. John.

I am a high school xc coach and we always run at Kennesaw Mountain.  It is a great place to run.  In the summer, when I had more time and daylight hours, I biked on the Silver Comet.  The West Cobb Aquatics Center is where I have been going to swim recently.

I think it would be great if we could get a group in Kennesaw to meet for a swim, bike or run once a week.  I have a running group that is just forming if anyone is interested.

Depending on where you are working in Kennesaw, I work in Kennesaw too but no pools super close.
Two pools I know in Kennesaw: LA Fitness on Wade Green / I-75 has a pool, if you're a member (haven't used it).
The YMCA-Northwest at Stilesboro/Mars Hill
Others:
Cobb Acquatic Center in downtown Marietta has a great pool with the running track outside but could be a hike during lunch depending on where you work.
West Cobb Pool is on Macland/Lost Mountain Rd (approx) which would be a hike during a short lunch time as well.

LA Fitness is opening a new location at Barrett Parkway and the 41 soon, hopefully there will be a pool there as well, that will open up more options for the rest of us.

I'm working off of Chastain Rd right off of 575. I would love to find a place to swim at lunch and bike after.

From there would be <15 minutes to Mountain View Acquatic Center for lunch swims. Summertime they convert to a long course 50 meter pool, which is always a nice change of pace too.

2nd on the pool at Mtn View. LAF typically has good pools and I noticed yesterday that the new gym on Barret Pkwy looks like it's close to being open.

If you work off chastain road then LA fitness off wade green is less than 5 min away.  I swim there usually at lunch time.  Let me know if you don't know where it is.
