Is anyone else entering Leon's Triathlon? I heard its called the worlds fastest
triathlon because of the flat course and you ride your bike on a six lane freeway.

I did this race last year on it's 'come back year'.  Leon has the best setup for transition and course, no doubt.  I can't remember how many entrants there were registered for last year's event but it was a lot.  Anyway, there was some absolutely horrible weather running thru Chicago/NW Indiana the day and night before the race and soooo many people just didn't show.  And it turned out to be the perfect day for a summer triathlon:  Great morning weather, and hot on the run!

Anyway, for my part, I would recommend the race.  Oh, and by the way I've signed up again for 2011.

My first 'A' race of the summer.  Its only 20 minutes from my house.  Will be interesting to see what they do with Cline Ave now that its been completely shut down for a year. I'm wondering what condition it will be in.

Would like to do it sometime, but $120+ for an olympic event is way out of my price range.

Wow - I hadn't looked at the price. That's pretty much double what the other Oly tri's are in Indiana so I'll pass also, unless someone can tell me just what the extra money would give me to make it worth it. I guess if you live in the area, then you save the cost of travel/accomodations. Otherwise....ouch to the wallet.

I think the cost is up there because its so close to Chicago.  Its price is on par with the Chicago Tri.  Things are just more expensive up in my neck of the woods compared to the rest of Indiana.  From my perspective, I think the prices down state for tri's are dirt cheap
