for those of you doing this race, i think this or next week is the time to set up your 20 week training plan. If you are silver of gold, i think March 6, is the date for the 16 week intermediate plan, which is the one i hope to use.

I am really stoked for this race, i just hope i am not under 200lbs by then

Usually they have Hammer Products and when they make it up they often over dilute it....Heed.

i don't use the on course nutrition while biking. i make sure i have what i need on the bike with me, i might grab some water while riding, to douse myself and cool off. I made the mistake once of grabbing stuff on the road, took 1 swig and almost puked on the bike...nasty stuff.

the run on the other hand, i will grab Gu's and such, but never anything but water, by that time i am usually drinked out of sports/energy type drinks anyway.

I am going to do this one with two bottles:

one with nutrition
one with water

best of both worlds I guess...

I am doing my long workouts with Hammer perpetuem espresso solids and enduralyte tabs.  I stink at drinking nutrition.  I am hoping I can yet my hands off the handlebars long enough to eat them.  I will practice when I get back outside.

I booked my hotel yesterday and out in my next plan.  I put in the 16 week plan starting on February 28th.  It's getting closer!!!!

While I hate heed, early June may be quite warm, and I dont think I can get through 58 miles on 3 bottles. It depends a lot on the weather. I went through about 6 bottles during Timberman last year. This is a lot different race though, so we'll see what it takes when I ride it in training.
