The course preview days for Rev3 Cedar Point will be July 23 and August 20.  We will have a swim clinic, bike ride of about 50 or 100 miles on the actual Cedar Point Course, and a short run course.

Last year, we had approximately 120- 150 people at both days.  They were great!

More details to follow as the dates get closer!

Thanks for putting these dates out there.

For anyone doing the either the half Rev or full Rev at Cedar Point these are two great training days. I went to both days last year and was very glad I did. It is a great opportunity to get some good time out on the course. In addition there were swim clinics, that helped with mass starts, buoy turns, shallow starts and just getting the feel of a bigger body of water. There were several other topics discussed after the ride too. I recommend the days to anyone and everyone who is doing Cedar Point race.

Thanks for posting the dates.  I am coming in from West Michigan  - can anyone recommend a place to stay?  I know the host hotel is the Breakers - is it worth being right there on site for the cost?

Anyone interested in getting a feel for what the wind along the lake may be like, there is a 10 mile road race in Huron on May 7'th.  This would also be a good tune-up for those that were planning on doing the Cleveland or Pittsburgh marathon the following weekend.

Cedar Point area is expensive hotel wise once CP opens on the weekends.

I travel to the area on business, and Comfort Inn in Huron is a little bit better priced - it is open year round and clean.  Make sure you ask for an updated room - one floor is totally updated, the 2nd floor is only partially done.  On map you will see it's past Sandusky coming from Michigan but you are right near the back entrance to Cedar Point (hotel can very easily give you directions).  A lot less traffic on the weekends.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT stay at the Comfort Inn or the Econolodge at the causeway.  They are DUMPS and only open 1/2 year.  Haven't been updated in 25+ years.  Ask if the hotel is open year round, if it's not, I wouldn't stay there.

There are several hotels in Sandusky just off Rt 2 (Speed trap central...beware Michigan drivers!!) and 80.  They are a little on the pricey side just due to Cedar Point.

Hope this helps.

The course preview days will be at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, OH.  They will give a nightly rate of $135.00/night for those nights.  That was the rate last year.  I am hoping they have room for some people this year.  Also, just next door is the Huron Comfort Inn.

We do not swim at CP for the preview days.  The park is in full swing and is wayyy too busy for our preview days.  We swim in Lake Erie, but not the actual swim course.
