Pre-race routine:

Warm shower, eat breakfast. Stay at even temp.
Event warmup:

Not much. Jogged a little between school gym and starting line. Light stretching.

Comments:

Carried hand warmers and they did well to keep my hands warm through the first mile. Then they got too hot. Wore arm warmers under my regular layers. Was to much at mile 5, but glad I had them when the wind started in our faces. Also jettisoned my hat and gloves at mile 5. Thanks Lisa for being there. Wore an underarmour head pullover and sunglasses the whole way. I looked like the Unabomber.
What would you do differently?:

Put in a few more miles leading up to the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Just make it back to the gym before riga set in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The cold, the slippery roads, and not doing over 12 miles since November.
