Hello from Tampa!

Hi there Chris!  I'm in Tampa as well, there's a whole bunch of us locals on here.  What races do you have planned for this year?

Hi Nicole! This year I have been busy right out of the box! January 9th I did the Disney marathon, (4.54.10)  This month I will be doing the Gasparilla 5k and half marathon. My daughter is 9 and this will be her first 5k! (So excited about sharing this experience with her!!) Then I will be doing St A's Triathlon in May. I want to do another half Iron this year but I have yet made up my mind as to the one I will do. I was contemplating doing the Mooseman in New Hampshire, most of my family is in New England. I am working my way up to a full IM...

What are your plans for this year Nicole? Do you belong to any athletic groups in the area? I have started my search for people to train with and help motivate me to the next level, and do events with as well. If you have any info send it along,

Awesome!  Sounds like a fun schedule.  I did St. A's a few years back and really enjoyed the race despite the swim being canceled.  It's a nice venue for an event.

I acutally live up in Wesley Chapel, so I'm not involved with any of the formal training groups in the area.  I do occasilaly work out with another user here on BT named Kate (trinnas), and know that the Fit Niche running store has weekly runs.

I also know that mtepfer (another user on BT, real name Mike) runs pretty regularly with a group in the area.

Welcome,  I also live in Wesley Chapel.  If you ever see a guy running on Meadow point Blvd or SR 56 with bright colored shirts (yellow, green, orange), that is probably me. 

Thanks Rich!, I live in Countryway and have several distance loops I run with my trusty yellow lab Calvin. He is good for 9 miles before I start dragging him. Thanks for dropping me a line! Are you doing any events soon?

Hey Shawn thanks for dropping me a note. I hope you bounce back soon. Mich challenge nice! I am contemplating the Goofy challenged for next year, 13.1 on Sat, 26.2 on Sunday at Disney. If you need a training partner let me know. I am going to do another HIM this year, I did the Intimidator in Clearmont last year. The hills over there were brutal. I am working my way to a FIM.
