Run
Comments: Solid first 10k, comfortably uncomfortable after about 6 weeks of down time since IMWA Transition 1
Comments: Solid first transition, no complaints here. Very well organized transition with good flow for all athletes Bike
Comments: Mechanical issue on the front derailuer...couldn't get into the big ring. Not a terrible problem, but I could have been a little faster if I had my big ring on the "back" section of this out-and-back course as there was a nice tail wind on the return portion Transition 2
Comments: It was a long transition area, but more or less as fast as it could be. Run
Comments: I gave it what I had at the time. I could have pushed more, run harder, but still not caught third place. I did catch and pass the 4th place guy who passed me in the closing lap and a half of the bike. It was a small victory in Run #2, but when I saw the overall results I really realized how much 4th place sucks. I thought I was 5th or 6th before the official results came out. What would you do differently?: Leave caution and non-training to the wind and just drop the hammer. This race was a "just for fun" at the end of my off season, so I am completely happy with the result. This was a fun and well organized race. And I haven't raced a duathlon in a couple years. Post race
Warm down: Light run and some stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: It's always hot in Singapore, and it was the end of my off season, so very little training/maintenance since IMWA on December 5th Last updated: 2011-01-21 12:00 AM
