It will be good to meet another Bt'er in person. jford and I met Scoobysdad a couple of years ago. It should be a fun day. |

We have a really strong partnership with them and try to support them at every turn. And it helps get our business a bit of exposure. We definitely love meeting BTer's. TTMA and I have met 100s of people from this respond. |

I am planning on going to Tunica and look at the swimming course just out of curiosity ... I wonder if they would allow practices swims prior to the race ... - Manuel |

It is flat and there is no shade. It should be a fast course, I think. As for practice swims, I'm not sure. I bet you could e-mail S2F Events and they couild tell you if that would be possible. Good luck on your first. You will do great. I hope to meet you some time this summer at one of the races. |

I am going to check with the Start 2 Finish guys and see if they allow people to swim before the race. Maybe we can meet up sometime in April. |

Not sure about Tunica, but friends tell me you won't get in trouble swimming at Orgill (its not very populated) and that is where MIM always was in the past. Also, Lake Dunn at Village Creek, AR is a great lake (Mighty Mite Tri). I'm competing in my first tri in a couple weeks too, down in FL - and am hoping to get some open water in beforehand! Planning on heading up to Orgill or to a friend's private pond in Shelby Forest. Best of luck! |

I don't log on BT much anymore since I'm using Training Peaks but I stop by now and then to check the boards. I would love to get a group together and ride the course soon. Let's plan something now that the weather is looking better!! Train Hard, Lisa |

There are signs posted around the lake saying so. Just a fyi. |

It's yucky!! oops - sorry, yes, I've seen the signs too - a friend was the pro at the course for some time and said people practice up there from time to time and they don't fuss at them. We have a lake on our property that we swim in (Shelby Forest) - and yes there are snakes...oh well. Better than sharks, IMHO and yes, the water is nasty. I agree. |

Veteran 208 Fayetteville, AR | Subject: RE: Memphis in May Triathlon : Official Thread I did the sprint last year and will be doing it again this year (hopefully won't freak out on the OWS like i did last year...thats usually my strongest sport of the three, but i didn't take any BT advice and didn't do an OWS before hand). Excited to see what the new course has in store...it seemed really well run last year. |

Anyone have any thoughts?? I just did the Wildman Tri while we took the kids to do Disney during spring break. How did it go for you? I did a triathlon 20 years ago and this was my first since so it was basically my first. I did the Olympic distance on Sunday and it went fine (and avoided the alligators). Greg Siskind |
