I'll be there.  I'm trying hard to recruit some folks from the office to register...four of them.  I did the race in '07, '09 and '10 and this year I've set out to drop some big, big time.  I'm aiming for a 5:14 on 5/14...best previous time is about six hours!

I'm in.  Hope the weather isn't that much hotter given its one week later this year.

My goal is to break 5:30.   I came close last year but not quite.  However, I was helped out quite a bit by the roving buoys on the swim (the swim was about 400-500 yards short last year because the wind moved the buoys).

This year I've got to get crackin' on the bike.   I saw that they will be modifying the bike course because of construction on the causeway bridge.  I wonder what that will do hill-wise.   Has anyone heard anything about the new bike course?

This will be my first time racing this one.  Don't have any time or race goals just yet.  Just want to get out there and race well on tired legs.  Doing Eagleman a few weeks after this one.  So this is really just a tune up for me. A hard training day kind of.   Would like to post up a solid run here.

Any recommendations on places to stay?

I'm in for first time this year, I did Rumpus last year and that was fun, so thought this might be as well.  I am dragging my workout buddy along too, we are both signed up.  I hope it's not too hot, I didn't fair well in the heat last year at 70.3 FLA.

Good luck with you training for IMLP, I am using this race as a training race for IMCDA!

Who else is signed up for IMCDA?  Is it you gadzooks?

I am not doing IMCDA.  I am doing Eagleman after this and then a few other races later in the summer.  Hopefully a solid result at Eagleman will help me figure out where I wind up in Sept/Oct.

Jeff - Congrats on your marathon last fall!!!  3:28 is an awesome time and you blew your goal out of the water!

Thanks man!

I'm going to find out in 3 weeks whether I can whittle that time down by 7 minutes and BQ for 2012, as that's going to be my best shot at BQ'ing with the times going down by 5 minutes for 2013!

Set-up has just updated the bike course map---they say it's still rolling with good pavement.....

LOL!  Not to many 15-18 year olds doing triathlon.  Good luck....

Just booked my room today.  I'm getting amped for this one.  Should be a lot of fun out there.  Lets just hope for some nice warm temps.

Really hoping for cool weather.  Did a long brick yesterday and cramped up on the run - and it was in the 50's...

The water bottle support on the bike last year was pretty good so I guess doing 50 miles in a supported environment will help, as opposed to yesterday when I was on my own.

How is the training going everyone?

i don't care what kind of weather we get as long as it's not damp and raining.  50 is way to cold.  I'd like to see 60-70 for the entire day with light wind.  Kind of like yesterday up here.

I rode 66 yesterday and did the first 56 in just about 2:18.....  Got home and ran 5 and was way off with my nutrition as well.

Looking forward to Kinetic, even if it is a catered training day for me.  First OWS of the year too should be interesting!  Good luck with your taper everyone!

No taper here. Training day for me as well.  Taper is for Eagleman a few weeks later.

Ha! I saw that too! It rained at Rumpus a few weeks ago too! I heard the water temperature wasn't too cold so at least that won't be as much of an issue.
