Subject: RE: First Real Tri-Bike Ride OK, I am gonna bump this back to the top. I adjusted the aero bars outward to a more comfortable (to me ) riding position. I feel it helped with the resposiveness of the steering, not as twitchy (sorry Tom, I had to use that word ). The bicycle portion of my first tri is 16 miles. I went out this afternoon and rode the course. After just a few miles I was much more at home on the new bike. My speed was up from an average of 14mph on my old police bike to 17mph on this bike. It is very windy here today and I'm confident I can and will do much better before my tri (99 days away, but who's counting ). I do have a question though, in my riding position with my forearms on the pads and my hands on the aerobars, should my upper arms be perpendicular to the ground? They seem to be slightly rearward. Thanks for the input. TJCIN |
