Comments: Started at the front which was my planned strategy, but went out a little too hard. My pace was decline until the last 400m when I picked up again. I had a goal of 14mins, and I still beat it given my my bad decision. What would you do differently?: Start off a little slower and take advantage of the terrain to go faster in the appropriate areas. Post race

Age Group Rank = 1/4
Got up at 6:45 AM, at my usual breakfast and drove to the event. Got there around 8:15, picked up my bib, and got changed.
Did approx 1 km of the course including the hill. Didn't feel very good at that point.
