Love it.  Try this:  for a little pick-me-up during the day, lick the back of your hand and take a whiff...

What, too much?

mxr746 - 2011-03-03 5:23 PM I cut way back on time in the pool, concern about prolong exposure as i keep finding all these reports and studies on chlorine.

I haven't seen the studies, but I figure with the 20-23 hours a week I spent in the pool for years as a kid that if long-term exposure was bad, I'd be suffering right now.

give your arm a lick, it will smell like chlorine if you have swam in the past 48 hours.

I'm not a big fan of the smell of the feel. But my wife likes it, says it is sexy, so I don't mind.

The responses to this thread are hilarious. Swimming at least 5 times per week gives a gnarly smell of chlorine so it is best to exfoliate well and use a good moisturizer. If some of you are really humming of chlorine, perhaps you may consider going to LUSH and buying one of their overpriced and highly perfumed bars of soap. The cost and smell should kill anything.

I used to do a lot of my swims during lunch at the gym near my office. As a result of the training load, I often arrived home tired and looking a little rough. Any sympathy I was going to get for my 'hard day at work' went out of the window once my wife got up close and smelt the chlorine. Smile

I'll swim, shower, go home, sleep, get up, work out, and smell it in the shower then.

Swam yesterday, been licking myself for the past hour and no chlorine taste.  Will keep trying....Smile

If I just rinse off after a swim I smell it, if I use the soap my wife got me then I don't.

Let me ask my wife when she gets back from her trip today.  Typical guy as she said "here, use this soap when you shower after swims" and my response was a very witty "Uh, okay".  Its some brand of body wash.  She put it in a small travel bottle that way when I lose it she can easily replace it. I LOVE the smell of chlorine...I work in a cleanroom and I build defibrillators and pacemakers. We aren't allowed to wear cologne, perfume, scented body lotions...etc. So the chlorine is something I can't really get rid of they have to put with it and I smile the whole day...nothing in the doc's about chlorineTongue out.
