I can't believe there isn't a threat about his great TRI season opener!

 OHIO BTers sound off!

You know how this works. We start this thread too early and it becomes more of a smack talking thread than anything else, however, I shall refrain at this moment from talking smack and will simply say I'm in.

Hmmm I haven't practiced my swim at all this year but will be starting soon.  So 2 questions:

Should I join you guys and make this my first tri EVER?

For Columbus people, Do you drive down and hotel it the night before or ? ? ? I'd be interested in sharing a room or something to save costs.

Absolutely! I did this last year as my first TRI ever, just a warning though, the addicition took hold. I did 8 more Tri's last year after Miami including a Half Iron as my season closer. So consider yourself warned. I hope we see you there

It was my first triathlon as well many years ago (also the races first year!)

It's a great race, and if you can you should do it.

I've done both driving down the night before, the morning of, and in the middle of night (getting in at 3:30 am).

If you are not a morning person i'd try and stay the night before, its a bit of a haul from C-bus.

My first year I got a hotel room.  The Hampton Inn is pretty close to the race site.  This year I will be crashing on Twink's sofa...cause there ain't no way I'm driving in from Cowtown at pre-buttcrack of dawn.

Looking forward to this race that I have heard so much about, and a great start to what should be a great year, for many reasons.

If I can hit 2 miles of running (pain free) in the next two weeks I will sign up. Otherwise I might just volunteer.Or I might just sleep in

From what I understand, the Bulleit can contribute to pain-free running. Wait. Why am I explaining anything about pain-free to you? Hope we see you there.
