Welcome!

With your target time don't worry to be the last. :-)

I have no idea what my time is going to be. Especially, if when I have to take one after another. I tried to run one day after bicycle, and my legs were like stones.

I have received email today, they say it will be Celebratory Area called Athlete Village, probably easy to find.

With weather like that I will be able to compete in the F35-39 division.

For some reason cold wet spandex doesnt give me that mannish look. I am bringing an extra banana just in case.

With those crappy temps I need to figure out what to wear.  I don't want to over dress for the ride and then get too hot during the run but I guess I can take clothes off in transition after the bike

I think two years ago I put on a bike jersey over my supersuit.

This year I might just do the same.

Awesome.

Wind is predicted to be SSW, so it would be kinda pushing on the way out, and then in your face on the return trip.  The good news is it's mostly downhill at that point.

I'm real glad I did all the rides I did the past few weeks in this crappy wind.

I did a windy ride too!

However it did not make me a better cyclist, but frustrated one for sure.

Makes me very happy to have my aero bars!

Thinking of bringing a jersey to throw over my tri suit, weather depending.

What is it with no body markings at races???  Grrrrr.

Don't worry K - I will bring some markers and you can color all you want. I was going to put on my age group , blood type , shoe size and top ten reasons why I wont win. I will also give myself a huge dragon tattoo and draw on a bad goatee.Btw anyone have concrete facts about beer location an availability post race ( although with the weather hot showers And cocoa might sound better )

I am thinking of wearing a long sleeved shirt with my tri shorts to do the whole thing but I will have more clothing if needed.  I figured I can freeze for the race then put on other clothes to warm up

You're going be soggy in the pool

Race time temp right now is 50ish.  My plan is tri shorts for the swim, and throw on a long sleeve shirt in T1, and maybe some gloves for the bike.  I can tough it out for less than 40 minutes on the bike, and I've gone for much chillier runs in less clothes before.

I also need to remember to tape up my cycling shoes.

There is a BW3s on Walnut Street there in Oxford which does not typically open until 11 but rumor has it they open early because of this race.

Yes it is 5 min better from my target time, with a lot to improve

I bought my bike last week from walmart and today was my first real ride

My cheap bike computer showed 15miles total distance at the end of the ride, and I started the final push after the 11th ... and the finish wasn't there

Did anybody attend the "real" after party?

I had fun for my first Tri.  I was 313.  I was hammering the bike and some guy said we had a mile to go so I grab for a drink at the last left slight downhill.  Drop my bottle and for some reason decide stopping for it is a MUST.  Tire slid out and I ate it.

I'll write up a race report soon but I had a blast and my minor scrapes didn't scare me away, just made me laugh I was so worried for a $2.50 water bottle ha
