Extreme Veteran 845 Springfield, OH | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread I had a great time, despite the weather (my cycling shoes got so wet when I pushed down hard on the pedals I could feel a good "squish.") I'm drying them out now for another tri tomorrow morning. My concerns about the pool swim were not realized either. I was in the first wave, started near the back, passed about 1-2 people each length of the pool, and only one time did I have a problem at the wall when someone stopped and did a huge open turn right in front of me (I just flipped and went under her). Race report will be done once official results are out. My log has the results from my Garmin, but I totally forgot to start and stop it at any of the right times, so it's a little out of whack. |

Any idea when and where the official results will be available? |

Expert 769 Alpharetta (until we find a home) | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread standard HFP timing for results posted on line is normally about Monday or Tuesday. So stopping clicking refresh Normally they start posting results at the event but that is difficult to do with the time trial format. I am in the same boat everyone else is. I dont run with a watch and my bike computer doesnt work well (apparently I went 1.2 miles) so I am anxious as well. I thought my swim went well, bike ok (dropped a chain on an uphill - not the best place to do that) and felt totally awesome during the run. aysel, runningflyer ,twinklebug and I did not find an establishment in oxford so we drove back to Dayton to a BW3 there. LOL, Dont' you know, the more you refresh it, the sooner it will appear bananatoes - 2011-04-16 5:58 PM Normally they start posting results at the event but that is difficult to do with the time trial format. So stopping clicking refresh I think HFP is rolling out a new timing system some time this year that will permit much faster results, and they'll have screens so you can see live results during the race even. That way you don't have to wait around for the last guy to finish to find out you didn't place. |

How many lead changes did we have between the two of us?? HahaI had fun for my first Tri. I was 313. I was hammering the bike and some guy said we had a mile to go so I grab for a drink at the last left slight downhill. Drop my bottle and for some reason decide stopping for it is a MUST. Tire slid out and I ate it. I'll write up a race report soon but I had a blast and my minor scrapes didn't scare me away, just made me laugh I was so worried for a $2.50 water bottle ha |

Hey! I was thinking on the ride home I didn't get your name. Every sport and transition we traded back and forth. I will say I wouldn't have pushed as hard on the bike if I didn't have someone to chase after who was wearing a bright read jacket. |

Member 33 | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread Well. Still waiting on my results like everyone else, but I think things went well. Despite performing as poorly as I thought I would on the swim (mental?), I shuffled my way through the transitions and felt good about my performances on the bike and run. Looking forward to getting my times so I can set some realistic goals for Deer Creek. Time to get serious in the pool. :-) |

Delaware, OH | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread I'm reserving writing my RR until the official results are in. Could be that I'm pouting that I missed hardware by 40 seconds. BUT I came in a well under my goal time. Meah! Next year! |

Expert 769 Alpharetta (until we find a home) | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread count me in on the "still waiting for real results" crew. I am pretty sure I swam the course faster than a 13:51 (a 3:30 min / 100m pace - a tad bit off of my usual 1:25 min /100m times). Of course a guy in my age group ran a 13:43 - a leisurely 4:25 min / mile 5k. I think there might be some garbage data still in there. |

He called them and told them and they corrected it to a 23:08 (He gave them his Garmin data, and it checked out close to their backup number, so they used the backup number). |

Could be that I'm pouting that I missed hardware by 40 seconds. BUT I came in a well under my goal time. Meah! Next year! I'm waiting too. My swim time seems a little slow, but hard to tell. I don't remember was the T1 start pad right at the end of the pool? I swam 30 seconds faster in a race the next day, is why I'm wondering. Oddly enough, that's exactly how much I missed 1st place in the Clydesdale category by. (Got 2nd, not gonna complain). |

Heah...be ready for Deer Creek when you have to run up that dang hill before you cross the mats and your T1 time starts! |

Veteran 239 | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread This was my first triathlon, and ... I liked it, despite waking up at 3am, driving for over two hours, and being in the first hundred overall, but the first ten in my age group. Please, don't laugh at me , my time was 1:18:24
so.......my question is......... what is the next one? (am I getting hooked???) Hint: I don't want to drive more than one hour.

Hint: I don't want to drive more than one hour. I tried my ESP skills, heck, I even clicked on your profile, but the inevitable follow-up question is... An hour from where? As far as the other part... (Yes, you are.) Seriously, there are races at Ceasars Creek, Deer Creek, and OU coming up in the next 6 weeks or so. Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I know a number of folks are planning for Deer Creek. |
