Event warmup:

None
Swim

Comments:

The swim time included a long run out of the pool to transition
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, I was happy with my swim considering is not my strong sport

  • 01m 7s
Bike
  • 37m 34s

Comments:

Felt good on the bike, could probably have gone faster if winds weren't so strong
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, I was happy with my bike
Transition 2
  • 01m 26s
Run
  • 24m 48s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 08m  min/mile
Comments:

Pretty good considering I haven't been able to run as much due to ITBS. Wish I could have gone faster, but the good news is my ITBS didn't flare up during this race, so there is hope.
What would you do differently?:

Not get ITBS and be able to run more, but I really can't do anything about that.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate some food and waited for the awards ceremony, I placed 2nd female overall.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Getting ITBS from marathon training earlier in the winter

Thanks! Yeah, those headwinds were killer! On some parts of the course I could only churn out 16 MPH, and had to make up for it on the flats with no winds. I did really like the course too, this race was a blast! Great people too. Congrats on completing your first tri, I bet you're hooked now.
