Once the race started, I wished I had my gloves! My hands were ice cold! Had my RunMeter on, so I knew the race would be published on Facebook... I really think that helps me dig deep. Started off quickly, and felt tired well before the first mile mark. Runmeter was acting goofy - probably because I pressed start before the start of the race, and then immediately turned it off and reset it. I don't think it had a chance to get a GPS signal. Because of this, I didn't get my mile splits. I ran hard the whole time, and it seemed like EVERYONE was passing me. I was praying to finish sub-30, and I hit the finish line shortly after 28 minutes! Still waiting for my official time. Happy to beat my time from last year (29:43), which was also my first ever 5K.
