Swim
  • 29m 17s
  • 1320 yards
  • 02m 13s / 100 yards
Comments:

Wow! since this was my first international or olympic triathlon I didn't know what to expect of the long swim but I was sure surprise that I need a lot of work on the swim. The swim for me was just BAD.
What would you do differently?:

Stay more calm
Transition 1
  • 02m 2s
Comments:

Everything went good and I didn't have any issues except the wetsuit getting stuck.
Bike
  • 1h 04m 8s
  • 24 miles
  • 22.45 mile/hr
Comments:

After having a bad swim I was really looking forward to the bike portion of the race since I've been putting more training on the bike for the last 2 months now. This was my first race with a power meter since I bought it about a month ago so I was really looking forward to this. I wanted to stay within 210 to 220w for the whole race. Not only did I accomplish that but I felt great after getting out of the bike. First time that I have felt fresh going into the run.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing had a great race and a PR from the 21mph avg from the duathlon I did 2months back.
Transition 2
  • 01m
Run
  • 33m 54s
  • 6 miles
  • 05m 39s  min/mile
Comments:

Had a good run thanks to the pacing on the bike. Didn't know what to expect for the run since I only ran 2 times in the last month or so since I been working a lot on the bike and swim. Started the first mile at 5:35 pace but I told myself to calm down since I didn't have the miles on me to keep that pace for the last 5 miles to go. Eventually I was able to settle down for a 5:45 pace or so.
What would you do differently?:

I had a good run thanks to the pacing and the powermeter. Couldn't ask for more based on the run training I been doing the last month or so.
Post race
Warm down:

not much just a quick run.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

More open water training and a lot of swim practice.
