Subject: Cold hands while training indoors?

I lost a fair amount of weight in the past year (yay, me!), and can finally jog without my heartrate getting too high.  But I've noticed something strange... even when I'm jogging indoors on the treadmill, my hands get ice-cold.  They don't start out that way, but after my body is warmed up and I'm sweating a lot, my hands are like ice cubes.  They don't warm up again until 30 minutes or so after I finish my work out.

Any ideas?  Does anyone else experience this?  Should I be concerned and see a doctor about it?

I haven't been biking recently, but I don't remember this happening even when I rode the trainer indoors.  Just seems to be with jogging.

Do your fingers turn white, or are the hands just cold in general? How cold is the room? You may want to review raynauds to see if you have any of it's symptoms.

I haven't noticed any color change, just the coldness.  This has been at the gym, which is probably set to 70 degrees, I'd guess.  Definitely not cold there.  And my face/core/legs all get very sweaty, so I don't think I'm chilled.

Just looked up Raynaud's, and I seriously don't think it's that.  My hands don't look discolored like those photos show.  Maybe it's just dehydration?  I know I don't drink enough water usually, which I'm trying to fix.  (And I do like me some espresso, which makes it worse I know...)

I wear gloves on the trainer, because the fan makes my hands frigid. I'm sweating buckets, otherwise, but my hands are ice.

To be fair, I also wear gloves at my computer, if the fan in my office comes on (thermostat set at 70) because the vent is right over my desk. I cut out little holes where my fingertips are so I can still type without any problems. My officemates just accept that I'm weird

This thread got my attention! My right hand only will turn cold and stay cold. Hmmm.... It lasted for two weeks and seems to be getting better.

This happens to me as well! Not only do my hands get/stay cold when my body is overheating, but my fingers turn white and lose feeling. I initially thought it was Rynauld's Syndrome and saw my doctor (which I recommend). My doctor, suprisingly, ruled out Rynauld's and sent me to a nerve specialist. According to the nerve specialist, I have carpal tunnel! It did not make much sense to me and I still question if it was properly diagnosed, but I am not a doctor! If you happen to figure it out, post the prognosis!
