I saw the subject of this thread a couple of days ago but didn't read it as it did not interest me.  But when I saw it had grown to 7 pages I thought maybe there was an interesting discussion!  Nope, nothing but a waste of good electrons.  And now here I am contributing to the TAN and wasting my time.

bryancd - 2011-03-11 3:43 PM This thread is a waste of time, not training.

But the OP is accomplishing EXACTLY what he wants. Trolling aims to get an emotional response/reaction from people. He's actually done pretty well hasn't he?

Then he's the worst troll ever, because nobody is getting fired up.  Everyone just keeps toying with him instead.  It's a troll boomerang!

I didn't look at this thread for the first few days, because I assumed it was about junk miles, but this is some quality entertainment!  I can't believe I was missing out.

If you had driven to a safe place to ride (far away from taxi drivers) you wouldn't have been hit. It's called Karma.

I hope I don't offend any taxi drivers.

Travel in this vessel:

Including going to and from places where you are going to train on your bike.

So if it were a PedaCab instead of an actual car, he would have only scraped a few knees when he ran into them, right?

It's the theory that some miles you bike or run are pointless, because they aren't for a specific purpose, or they the are done at too low of an intensity level to provide any fitness benefits.  Threads about them tend to include a lot of disagreement.

I live in New Orleans, when I go on my runs/ bike ride/ walks I take my dog and my wife.  This is getting back to the New Orleans part.  Where I live is on Retirement Street, but it is between the corners of Gunshot Alley and Crack Dealer Way.  I have never walked in my neighborhood, I don't run through it and unfortrunatly there is a loaded shotgun near me in the house at all times.  We plan on moving within the year but until we do I will drive back and forth to the parks around the city to where we can be a little safer to run/walk/bike enjoy my regularly scheduled life.
