I vowed after loosing about 15 water bottles last year that I was going to do something different this year. I ride a P2 with an Adamo saddle. I have a cheap 2 bottle holder / bottle ejector bolted to the back of the seat. What systems work well?

I would go with a regular cage mounted on the aerobars and a frame bottle if you need a second bottle for a given event/ride.

I use an xlab (the one built to work with Cervelo's 2 bolts on the seatpost) with the cheapo steel cages on the exact same set up (Adamo, P2C) for training.  I've ejected a bottle once (and I'm surprised the same bump didn't break my wheel).  The cheapo cages are bendy - just bend them tight before the ride so they're not loose and you may stop "loosing" so many bottles

I use a Neverreach on the back.  It is very secure and holds up to 64 oz of water.  Look them up, it won't come off.  I crashed at 20 mph and it was not phazed, speed bumps, cattle guards, potholes, railroad tracks, not gona budge it.

I have a Profile Tri-Stryke saddle, and use a Minoura double bottle mount on mine. Here's the trick, though -- I mounted it upside down, which puts the bottles lever and pointing forward. They sit just behind my leg, and I can reach them just fine staying aero. Using Profile cages (the ones that wrap all the way around the bottle), it's very secure, and because the bottles are level, bumps have no effect. Bottles WILL NOT launch, ever.

Now I know the Adamo puts the saddle rails vertical in the back, where the Profile's are at an angle... but maybe the carrier could be bent enough to put them level anyway...

Anyone tried the xlabGorilla carbon water bottle cage for their seat post?

I also ejected 2 bottles on the last ride from the seat post.  I was thinking about either buying 2 xlab Gorilla cage or come up with something to tie down the bottles.  I have P3C with xlab turbo wing.

Thank you in advance.

Joseph

I have an aerobottle that holds about 50oz and then to cages on the frame.  Have never used a rear mounted system.

6 bucks for two frame mounted cages. Never lost a bottle. I believe I would have found something new after I lost the first couple of bottles. But I'm cheap.

I have the Specialized Rib Cage mounted on the Xlab Cervelo Sonic Wing. These cages hold the bottle from both sides. Kinda expensive at $18 but cheaper than carbon.

I have an XLab SuperWing with two cheapo aluminum cages bolted onto it. No problems and no launches so far.
