Run
Comments: tried to run around 7min/mile pace. uphill made it hard to keep the pace. Transition 1
Comments: the rubber band I had attached on the left shoe to keep it up for easy entry did not detach from the quick release lever like I did during training. Almost fell down before I yanked rubber band and broke it off with my hand. What would you do differently?: use smaller rubber band with less strength. Bike
Comments: It was my first race with my new tri bike, Felt B16. It made significant difference from my hybrid bike I used on all the races last year. Reached 36.4mph on down hill. Transition 2
Comments: my cold hand could not unclasp the chin strap! I had to try many times and it was very frustrating. Run
Comments: Maybe went out too hard on bike and paid for it on the run. My legs were very heavy especially on uphills and there were many hills. Since some of the turns were not well marked, I made a wrong turn and had to double back losing a half minute or so. Post race
Event comments: Since top 2 athletes from my age group came in 2nd & 3rd on Over all, I ended up with 2nd place on my age group. Not bad for my first duathlon ever. Last updated: 2011-01-27 12:00 AM

I felt very cold before the race. I was going to race with singlet and arm warmer, I had to keep the running jacket on because it was too cold.
