Subject: Bike Rental for Races in MI
I am currently living in Shanghai, but will be home (metro Detroit area) in July and am looking to get in a race or two. However, I really don't want to ship my bike across the pacific. Does anyone know if there is a store or outfitter that rents road/tri bikes for events? If so, can you pass along the contact information?

I have not heard of any shops doing this, but then again I have never tried or heard of people trying.  Best bet is to give some of the shops a call (or email) and ask.

I know Trail's Edge and REI rent bikes, but I'd be suprised if any rent competition level or tri bikes. Maybe try Cycle to Fitness, Treefort or Cycletherapy.
