My hubby, God bless his heart, is better about getting laundry done than I am. Well, I forgot to take my MP3 player out of a jacket pocket that got washed. It's fried. This morning I took off for a 12 mile run sans music. I thought it would be awful...but it was quite the opposite! I forgot what it was like to hear the rhythm of my footfalls on the desert trails, the sound of my breathing, and really feel like I was in the moment. It was an excellent run. I'm in no hurry to replace the MP3.
***Not intended to stir up the running with or without music debate!!!***

I forgot my iPod today for my bike ride and didn't miss it one bit. Usually I just have my music with me because I get bored but I find I bike and run faster without it. It's nice to be able to hear everything around you!
