I asked about cutoffs at packet pickup.  The cutoff times will remain unchanged.  UNLESS they make an annoucement at the beginning of the race tomorrow.

mm5093 - 2011-04-09 1:04 PM I hate running, do you think they will transfer the monies to Natans?

Just think of it as a really long run to transition and pretend you swam.

#885. Expect to see s lot of it as my run is my worse of the 3. Oh well, I'll just have to sign up for Rio Salado now. As I did not train for a duathlon, I am looking at tomorrow as one long training session.

phxphotog - 2011-04-09 7:13 PM I might do the 5K in my wetsuit.

Now THAT is funny.

Seriously, this is a bummer, but it is not RR's fault.  It makes for a much different race, though, as it is now ALL LEGS.  No upper body to carry the first part of the race.

Oh well, if everything was supposed to be perfect in life, what would be the point, right?

I will still be there doing the 72.2 distance, and will be wearing #20 with my Tri4Him gear.

Game on!

No upper body......dude, I'm screwed. I need the swim to make up for the road work.

no, since its an 'Act of God' it not transferable, yep it sucks the big one.  Either way i should finish about the same time in my 1.5 mile run as in my 800 min swim  20mins..

Yip yip yip, even though I hate running both the 1.5 mile run and 3.25 mile run was the fastest I have ever ran.  Im so proud of the run.  I know avg 12.1/mile avg isnt fast by any means, but its alot faster than I have ever ran.  Just wished I had someone to run with... its so lonely running by yourself.  Still HAte running,,,,  but its the first day of training so now I can just work up from here on out

Oh, buy the way, my Bike sucked>>>>>>>>

Nice! At least you still put some good effort into it! This was my first Du also (was supposed to be my first Oly), and the run is my worst. I tried to push it though and think I ended up with 3 PR's. Still doing the calculations...

Congrats mm, what matters most is you were out there, and you did it.

Great job Tim - sorry I missed you out there somewhere.  I am anxiously awaiting official results online.

It was great meeting Todd, and I saw Elliott ever so briefly on the bike (moving 100 mph) and on the run (again moving 100mph).

Missing the swim was a bummer, as my bike and run splits would have been good enough to put me at 5:50 overall with an average swim and T1.  Oh well, we will get at it next time.

Great weather and day - a little windy coming downhill on the second loop, but managed a 19mph (or so) pace, which is fast for me.

Another great event in the history books - I hope everyone had a great time and ended up injury and mechanical-failure free.

Great racing everybody, that was a lot of fun!

I had a great race but looking as some of the results there are some insanely fast dudes out there. Lots of work to do if I ever want to podium my AG. Or, I just need to do smaller races in obscure locations.

nice job, everyone! ... even chad.

today was as calm as you'll ever find the beeline.  if you wanna talk about wind, you should have seen ironman arizona this past year.

or, pick small races where there are no race officials so you can get away with drafting, like some people i know...

You were done with the bike before the wind came out. For the "mortals", we ran into some wind coming back into town on the 2nd loop. If only I was faster!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Patrick! I was looking around for you and everyone too. I saw Chad at the finish, but didn't catch anyone else. Good race though, sounds like you had a good time!

Man, there were some FAST runners out there today!!!
