What about leaving your toothbrush out where the toilet is? I think it's safer in the shower.. I don't know anyone who leaves it on the toilet. And if you put the lid down like you are supposed to, you won't have fomites to worry about. But I keep mine in the medicine cabinet - it keeps the counter neater. Crest - whatever minty flavor I happen to spot. And no - why would I want to rinse with warm water? Yuck. Though I have shaved in the shower where there is a mirror - I like the efficiency (or the illusion of it anyway). |

I got in the habit of brushing in the shower because I tend to brush longer. That's my only reason.. |

I would probably do my taxes, ride the bike trainer and blowdry my hair in the shower if I could simply because it's the only private time I get with 2 kids. We have a little set of hooks in the shower to hold our toothbrushes and toothpaste and they are just fine. We've been doing it for years. I doubt it really saves any time, but it works. My kiddos have electric toothbrushes and have asked to take them in the shower, cuz we brush in the shower. But we don't go there. We also have two sets of brush/paste. This reminds me of something that happened a few years ago, when my oldest son was maybe 5 or 6. We had the toothbrushes in a toothbrush cup/holder sitting next to the downstairs sink. One day my son confessed to us that he had accidentally knocked them into the toilet "a while ago". But it was okay, because he rinsed them off afterwards.  |
