Another Arm & Hammer user here-- it's the only that leaves my mouth feeling fresh, with no filmy residue taste.

I would no sooner brush my teeth in the shower than swim in my toilet.

I don't brush in the shower, but it amazes me that some people would leave their toothbrush in the shower when it's a shared shower.  Just can't wrap my head around that one.

What about leaving your toothbrush out where the toilet is?  I think it's safer in the shower..

I don't know anyone who leaves it on the toilet. And if you put the lid down like you are supposed to, you won't have fomites to worry about. But I keep mine in the medicine cabinet - it keeps the counter neater.

Crest - whatever minty flavor I happen to spot. And no - why would I want to rinse with warm water? Yuck. Though I have shaved in the shower where there is a mirror - I like the efficiency (or the illusion of it anyway).

gir1with1nose - 2011-04-08 12:17 PM Toms of Maine spearmint or fennel flavor.  Fennel is dangerous for me, though, because it's like brushing my teeth with candy!

x2...one you go Toms, you never go back.

agreed.  Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

X whatever.  I like the wintermint.  Never in the shower.  I like to brush with cold water.

At $6.25 a tube though.

Closeup...I can't use anything else (without gagging).

And no, I do not brush in the shower.  I have a Sonicare.  I don't think it would like the shower.

Arm & Hammer and no, it's never crossed my mind to brush my teeth in the shower. Interesting.

So do you move the toothbrush/toothpaste from wherever you keep it (medicine cabinet, drawer, etc.) to the shower every time? Honest question.. what's the point of doing that?

I got in the habit of brushing in the shower because I tend to brush longer.  That's my only reason..

Crest super duper whitening with tongue stinger..  I dunno the real name.

I brush in the shower.  I would probably do my taxes, ride the bike trainer and blowdry my hair in the shower if I could simply because it's the only private time I get with 2 kids.  We have a little set of hooks in the shower to hold our toothbrushes and toothpaste and they are just fine.  We've been doing it for years.  I doubt it really saves any time, but it works.

My kiddos have electric toothbrushes and have asked to take them in the shower, cuz we brush in the shower.  But we don't go there.

We also have two sets of brush/paste.  One stays in the shower, one at the sink.

That's how we roll.

for those that are brushing in the shower are you rinsing your hair or something at the same tiime?  Or turning the water off?  Seems like a bit of a waste of water to me.  If I am going to waste water in the shower it'll be doing other things...

I brush while rinsing or I brush with the water off.  But I tend to turn the water off if I'm shaving my legs or waiting for my conditioner to set.

I've never heard of brushing your teeth in the shower. I brush at night before bed and in the morning, so its by the sink. Tooth brush sits in a cup/holder.

This reminds me of something that happened a few years ago, when my oldest son was maybe 5 or 6.  We had the toothbrushes in a toothbrush cup/holder sitting next to the downstairs sink.  One day my son confessed to us that he had accidentally knocked them into the toilet "a while ago".  But it was okay, because he rinsed them off afterwards.
