One week away, how's everyone feeling?  I so wanted to BQ my first Mary but nagging left knee has slowed me down a bit.  Think I'll hang with the 3:40 pace group and try to hold on.

Ready to roll- hope temps are a little warmer than the 28-30 I saw on the news this morning, but I will take those over the 67 we had Sunday.  Abused my legs last weekend- hope they recover in time.

Ready to go ! Planned on tapering last weekend, but it was just too nice and spent too much time running, biking, and hiking. Thankfully it's not an A Race for me and I am looking forward to doing the race. I haven't done a stand alone marathon in a few years, so looking forward to seeing how it goes.

I'm going to target 3:20 - 3:30. We'll see how it goes.

I hope the temps are a bit warmer in the morning too. Hoping for mid 40's at the start and warming up slightly from there.

Good luck out there !

My legs do not feel really fresh either- last weekend seemed to do a number on them.  I am planning a 3:30, but see how the day goes.  I think I am running with the 3:30 pace group.  I have some friends planning a sub 3:10 day if anyone is planning a fast run you could try and hang with them.

Looks like temps have gone up some- I saw 38 to start- I will take that

I am planning on driving in for the swim clinic tomorrow so I will probably wander over and watch the later finishers come in. I'd only be seeing people finishing in like 4:30 though at that point.

I wandered over to the race site at about 11:30 or so and decided it was a bit boring.  Not exactly a big expo going on then.

I then started biking up the race route and about 5 miles in I found the last 4 racers and the sweep volunteer and hung out and chatted with them all for a bit.  I think I spent an hour and a half meandering back and forth on the race course.

I KNOW what it's like to be dead last in a race and figured they might like some company.  Interesting fact: at least 3 of the last 5 finishers were 50 state 'maniacs' or some such.  They are trying to do a marathon in every state, but not necessarily 'running' them.

It was an interesting way to spend some time, and the race course looked pretty nice from the 5 miles I saw. Well staffed too, and the race announcer gal was doing a great job.
