Subject: RE: Do you eat at all u can eat buffets after big workouts? I don't look for them, but after long workouts I find it's tough to not feel satiated after a "normal" meal. I've also been reading articles about weight loss, exercise, and big calorie deficits. It basically says if you have a big workout, you need to eat more to keep your body from slowing down it's metabolism; it cited some studies supporting this, that showed that athletes who were just a few hundred calories under for the day were leaner than those who had higher calorie deficits. It also mentioned the importance of eating throughout the day; many small meals is preferred over a few large ones. Those who ate the same calories, but spread out over the day more, lost or didn't gain as much weight. Probably not what a AYCE place wants to hear. I certainly do enjoy eating a lot after long workouts though. |
