I don't look for them, but after long workouts I find it's tough to not feel satiated after a "normal" meal.  I've also been reading articles about weight loss, exercise, and big calorie deficits.  It basically says if you have a big workout, you need to eat more to keep your body from slowing down it's metabolism; it cited some studies supporting this, that showed that athletes who were just a few hundred calories under for the day were leaner than those who had higher calorie deficits.

It also mentioned the importance of eating throughout the day; many small meals is preferred over a few large ones.  Those who ate the same calories, but spread out over the day more, lost or didn't gain as much weight.  Probably not what a AYCE place wants to hear.

I certainly do enjoy eating a lot after long workouts though.

I don't hit the all-you-can-eat, but sometimes I do just as much damage.

Take today for instance..... 57 mile ride + 3 mile run.  So..... tonight I had a chicken salad sandwich with onion rings, then 2 pints of beer.... then I ran into my boss's boss and he bought us another round (pint #3), then my husband decided we were getting ice cream, so of course I ended up wolfing down a giant cone of cookies & cream.

Yup, I think I've accounted for all the calories I burned today!

I avoid ayce altogether. Went to Dennys one time and got so sick I threw up for hours, then up all night throwing up till nothing but bile-like substance came up. So whenever I ride by those places I just get so I'll. At 5'9" 145lbs I still eat sensibly with health foods in controlled portions.

No.  I typically eat normal and then have a couple cocktails and raid the candy bowl at home on Saturday nights.  Saturday is my cheat day when it comes to food

I did once after a 5.5hr ride this IM training.  We were going to go to a nice italian place but there was such a long wait so we left and hit the an Asian buffet. I didn't have that much. Just some sushi veggies, noodles, and chicken. I had a 30k the next am and I felt SO sick.... I was able to finish the run in a good time but no more buffets for me.

No, not after a big workout.  Usually after a big workout, I just have my whey drink, maybe in the form of a shake with added fruit, and then have my next meal soon if the timing is right.

I do occasionally eat at one of those places with the family, but I try to maintain some control over my intake.  That is usually easy to do, because I only need to look around the buffet at the obese "grazers," as I like to call them, to realize that I don't want any part of that lifestyle.
