I saw Robin wandering around but no other superheros.  I thought I had a good bike and run split but my swim was somewhere around 15min.  I did not think it was too bad out but did see some people loaded down with fluids for the bike.  Hopefully they were heavy sweaters or they had some sloshing stomachs during the run.  The road surface were also a lot rougher than what I usually ride on but helped me push it a little more.

I was fine temperature wise on the bike, but got real hot on the run out in the run on the Olympic.  I think it has more to do with how we went from 40 degrees to 90 in about a week and I haven't acclimated yet.  I had 2 bottles on the bike, drank about 1.5 of them, and then had one cup of water at each aid station on the run and felt like I hydrated just right.  I lose about 4-5 pounds of water an hour in heat with a hard effort.

I only found two stretches of road to be unusually rough, the part in/out of the parking area, and then Locust Grove Road.  The rest wasn't too bad.

Uf, the day is finally over.... In the morning I did my first Olympic triathlon, then, I have to take care of my kids, and we had a great grilling time tonight!

My race was so-so, I was disoriented at swim, then I thought my bike was ok, but after I checked my average speed it is still less than 20 mph! And running was never my strong point. I feel I did not exhaust all my powers (not super, just ordinary ones) I had!

It is something special to meet a super hero on a route!!! I've seen Duffman and Catwoman running, WOW!!! -- I don't have anything  to take off, but they are as real heroes have extra cape to carry!

if I ever do Superhero -- I want to be a Captain America )))) (I am the least one to fit))))

And the picture (i will probably need to replace the background with something cool):

That was a ton of fun! But Duffman's legs are wore out today. Duffman will be taking a day off of training.

Had a great day too.  It was fun to meet everyone and actually do my first race.  I have a few things to work on, run, that will, run, hopefully, bike RUN brick, help me get better for the, run, next race.

On the way home I thought about making friends with the sofa for an hour or so but kids wanted to go play at the pool, while splashing with my little girl I saw that my number was gone, bummer

Guess I just have to go get me a new number.  See you there.

same here tcarlson..thought the race was a lot of fun. i liked the bike course.  that first hill on the last section caught me the first time through, even though we drove it the night before. tried to be too aggresive which hurt me momentarily coming out of it. AND my run left a lot to be desired.

enjoyed the race and lessons learned

Whoever thought of having our own division is a genius because I got my first 1st place in a division!!! LOL (I was the only female Oly superhero. Haha.)

My swim was bad because when I thought I arrived at turn buoy #1 it was actually turn buoy #2 and I had to swim back and go around #1 first, and then back to two.

My bike was OK. I felt great on the first lap. Slowed down a bit on the second and also stopped for 2-3 minutes to help a young woman who had run off the side and crashed and her brake was pushed over so her front wheel wouldn't spin. She seemed pretty shaken up, but luckily for her, there were superheros everywhere.

My run was good. 56:54. Not bad for head-to-toe black winter running gear.

Wow!  What an example of living up to your superhero status, Catwoman!!!

Great race everyone! It was fabulous seeing all you guys there. And not typical DC weather either-the super heros smiled on us and actually brought us sunshine and no chop!

BTW-Awesome job Kate! And it was good meeting Mr. Cyclist (again).
