After 6 times racing this event and 4 times as the RD in 1996/2000-2002; I think this year might just be the sprint tri for me!

Fred,

Have you done IMLOU or any IMs before? I did IMCDA last summer as my first IM - loved it - thinking about doing IMLOU next summer with Brendon (posted on this forum also.)

What will the drive be like on race morning?  Will getting to the race site be a long traffic jam?   Going to be driving up from Anderson area.

I will be.  I am signed up for my first IM at IMKY and this 70.3 fits into my training schedule.

Planning on it.  As a few others have said I'm using it as a training race for IMKY.  Have done Steelhead 70.3 twice so a change of venue will be good.  Muncie is only about 4 hrs away too.  Another plus.

In for 2012.  Made a fast and high stakes bet with the wife.  If we both make our goal - no penalty.  If one makes it and the other doesn't.  Hot breakfast for a year.

Howdy all,Someone asked about time to get to Start on race day... We stayed in muncie last year and left signature inn at appx 515a and got to reservoir by 545ish. W/o traffic it was a 15min drive, and double that with race day traffic. Also depending where you park you need to walk a bit to bike holding area. Also dropped my bike off the day before and found that convenient. For question on swim waves, i was in M 30-34 and it seemed like we were in last third of the waves. Also note, water temp was wet suit legal last year however if you were wearing a suit they mandated that you had to go in last swim wave regardless of age/gender.Time to start conditioning so my pants will start to fit again!
