5:30 a.m. 45 mins on the trainer and 20 mins on the treadmill.

Thinking that I need to start getting up at 4:30 instead of 4:45 for the next couple of weeks so I don't have to cut my sessions short.

Easy 6 mile run in an hour at lunch time in my new shoes (still getting over this cold, so breathing was a bit painful).  Followed by a 13 mile bike ride at 19.5 mph after work (sucking more cold air into my lungs and making me cough more when I finished).  Hopefully pushing these workouts doesn't set back my immune system more and make it take longer to get over this cold, but I couldn't bring myself to take another day off.

Had a real short day with a 8 mile TT race.  It was intense and I pedaled my rear off.  Figured I did pretty good at 19:59.   That is over 24 mph.

Not bad for a newb...

45  minutes of strength - 2x15 medium weights.

58 minute run - 15 min w/u, 6 xcelerations, 3 track miles HR3-mid, 6 xcelerations, 20 min c/d

 

AND HEADED TO THE CATSKILLS TO RIDE DEVIL'S KITCHEN IN THE MORNING!!!
