Left to right:

Alex age 10, Liam age 7, Cole age 8

You can tell that these three have totally different personalities. In this pic it looks like: Alex - Sweetheart, Liam - Serious, Cole - Mr. Mischief (with flipping the bird and all.) :-)

edit - My little guy has the same pillow pet. Calls it his whale!

Someone is flippin' us off.

That assessment is pretty spot on! 

And yeah, he's givin' us the finger.  At least he sat to have his picture taken.  He wouldn't have a year ago.

Dude, he's 8 and still innocent enough that he has no idea what that means.  He has sensory issues and flicks his ears to calm himself down.  The pic caught him mid flick.

What you stated made it sound like that he did that on purpose, thus my comment.
And my statement made it sound like I would spank him, when actually it can be interpreted differently, too (like a scolding can make one uncomfortable, or the person wouldn't be in the next picture altogether).
BTW - 8 year olds are smarter than what we give them credit for.

See how the written word can be misinterpreted?
