Aside from the basic contact information, you can add inspirational sayings, quotes, etc. I wasn't at all creative and chose one of the listed suggestions "The gift of love Jesus". I figured since my personal witness was a little weak, perhaps a EMT attending my battered body might be reached/inspired. Any original inspirational mantras or do most just opt for more personal info (vital statistics, etc.)?

Based on anecdotal evidence on the interwebs, this really doesn't matter.  They will test you regardless.

I agree. The first thing they do is give you O - for severe emergencies, but if you need surgery, they always do bloodwork first - to make sure you have a functioning liver/kidneys before anesthesia, because it does make a HUGE difference on whether to push surgery, or patch up until surgery, etc.

On mine, it says, NO MRI - COCHLEAR IMPLANTS.   Suppose I get head injuries (especially when it's the bike), and if they put me in MRI, the magnets in my head (yes I have a magnet...look it up), will explode out of there. It's not going to be pretty. "CLEAN UP IN MRI ROOM 2!" :-)

I personally feel that Road ID should be it...VITAL information.

Not to hijack but...

Hey!  Two of my son's have cochlear implants and I have been wondering how they would work around a tri... off for the swim (any problem?), on for the bike and run (custom helmet? sweat problems?).  How do you manage it?

You can read about my boys here and here .

Just got mine this week! Have emergency contacts, allergy, and a quote I used to get through my big race last year "Do your best, No more, no less."

Just basic stuff, my name/location and emergency contact info.  I don't read it when it is on so I skipped the inspirational quote.

My brother and sister in law ordered mine for me as a birthday gift. They put contact info. At the bottom it says "You go girl!"

Silly but it makes me smile and remember my family is always cheering for me .
