Comments: left the start very thirsty looking for the first water station. water station every 2km, walked through each one. Normally my first 5km is a little rough. legs were very sore for the first 10km, ankles and shins.sore stomach and had to go so had to stop at portapottie twice, felt better after that but time was already unrecoverable so just coasted it in. What would you do differently?: dont each chinese food the night before, eat breakfast I normally eat and go to washroom. sleep in own bed. Post race
Warm down: stretched What limited your ability to perform faster: felt like garbage, worst 21km run ever. In training on what I consider an easy effort I have run faster. fairly upset, I considered ditching the race just before the finish line so my time didnt register. Ran through instead and focused on treating it as a learning experience and chalking it up to a bad day running. Event comments: good race but I did hear that some runners have to stop while a train crossed the course??? lots of water stations great volunteers Last updated: 2011-03-03 12:00 AM
