Pre-race routine:

Coffee and Wheat toast w/ Peanut butter and banana. SSS too.

Event warmup:

Car to Corral - ez jog

What would you do differently?:

Come out of the gate a bit slower. Didn't have a negative split but I kept up the 7:38 pace on the back end.

Post race

Warm down:

Banana, water and a beer!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Prolly the 3rd beer the nite before.

Event comments:

As flat as this course is, I am sure it will soon be a favorite for a BQ

Official time: 01:37:23. 8th/159 in age group. 3 seconds would have got me 7th. 3/201 for womens times @ 10 mile mark was 2:00 minutes ahead of schedule. 7.24 avg pace. I will take it! Mile splits: 710 659 707 726 713 737 731 731 724 740 727 732 744 100 Last .16 Weather turned out to be perfect for a half. 50 degrees, breeze perpendicular from us at 5mph, and partly sunny. Felt great the whole way thru. Came out of the gate a smidge too fast from the half 5hr energy shot, but my legs held up. One funny part of the race was at about mile 4. Three guys around me all farting. Also saw a guy running in a suit (he had a marathon bib on too). Dood in a cow costume.
Course:	Flat, small rolling hills too. Perfect temps @ 50, partly sunny, small breeze perpendicular the entire way
