Missed the beginning---got home from a 5k race with just over 6k left in today's stage---nice ride by Igor and Contador has pretty much sealed up the win you'd have to think at this point.

Wow looked so much like the big stage from last years vuelta where nibali rode back up to mosquera. Great stage, and im  glad anton got his win. Not sure what happend to rujano he finished several minutes back. I dont see scarponi pulling third away from anton unless anton completely blows up on the TT. Stupid crowd i would have loved to see them have to do another climb before the zoncolan.

Some big elbows thrown during today's stage!!  Nothing like climbing with a fan in your ear/face---I'd have loved to have seen a broken nose or two!

I was shocked by that, kinda unprofessional but i cant say i wouldnt do the same.

awesome stage today, seeing contador falter at the end of the stage and scarponi almost come  back up to him was great.

Not the first time I've seen something like that (remember Lance a few years back in TOC I think pushing the devil with syring into a snow bank?!)---but to see it happen MULTIPLE times and take several attempts to "clear" the fan....

Thought scarponi rode a great stage but just not going to get past contador..........

Was that ITT by Contador for real? Did he really just break 29' up that climb for a 34" margin of victory?!?! IN. CREDIBLE.

Ok so for those that thought the Giro wasn't "over" before---how about now?!  Contador basically has 5 minutes..........

Ok, so now that the Giro is over, if Contador does the double this year and wins TdF is he the best grand tour rider not named Merckx?  Maybe Indurain? He has 5 TdF's and 2 Giro's + World Road Champ & World TT

He would have 4 TdF's, 2 Giro's and 1 Vuelta (at age 28),  Mercx has 5 TdF's, 5 Giro's and 1 Vuelta.

Contador has a long way to catch up to Mercx overall, lol it's amazing looking at how many one day races he won and the fact he won points, overall, KOM, sprint.

Yep, I'm ready to call it. He rode (nearly) perfectly on the three most difficult mountain stages and hammered the nail in today's ITT. Dude was out of the saddle more than any ITT rider I've watched. Today's stage was a statement: y'all are playing for scraps from here on out.

I'm still excited for the rest of the mountain stages as well as the final, dead-flat TT to see how the rest of the top-10 shakes itself out. I'd really like to see Rujano attack in the mountains and end up on the podium in Milano. He's been a fun rider to watch this year.

Only five cyclists have won all three of the Grand Tours during their career:[9]

Only three cyclists have won stages in all three of the Grand Tours in the same year:[10]

[edit] Winners of Two Grand Tours in a Year

Nine riders have achieved a double by winning two grand tours in the same year.

Seven cyclists have won the Tour and the Giro in the same year:[9]

The Tour/Vuelta double has been achieved by two cyclists:[9]

The Giro/Vuelta double has been achieved by three cyclists:[9]

The proof shows it, He is  better than everyone but merckx in my opinion and i fully believe he will be the first to pull of the triple. Also you think if he wins the giro tour double he wont try for the vuelta if he has the legs for it?

Just saw Craig Lewis from HTC being strapped to a gurney an taken to a hospital....I tell you cycling needs to use more padding and equipment to keep them safe.   Should look like football players.Surprised
