Comments:

I pushed very hard in the first half of the bike, because of my crappy swim I felt I had some catching up to do on the bike, I passed a lot of other women,I did pretty well on the small hills considering I don't do any hill training
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 2

Comments:

The run was a 4.6 mile train run, so instead of my Zoots I wore my trail shoes, so I had to take the time to put on socks.

  • 4.6 miles
  • 08m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

Not too bad, wish I could have gone a little faster at the end. When I started the run the aid station worker informed me I was 3rd female overall, I was with a bunch of guys on the run the whole time, then about .4 from the finish line a girl come out of nowhere and sprints past me, I try to catch up with her but she is gone, she crossed the finish line 21 seconds before me.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate some food, hung out with my family, talked to other racers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim, arg! Gets me every time!

Event comments:

This was a great race, and it was awesome having something for my kids to do during and after the race. I hope they put it on again next year.
