Transition 1
Comments: Typical transition. Feet were dirty from the run to transition via the dirt, weed track. Bike
Comments: Legs were killing me. Just couldn't get moving fast enough. Mashing the pedals to try and get some kind of speed going, but felt like I was in sand. What would you do differently?: Not sure. Hit more hills I guess. Transition 2
Comments: Forgot to take a shot of my inhaler before the swim, so I had to do that real quick. Otherwise, nothing different. Run
Comments: Felt spent. Breathing hard. Had my Garmin with me, so I could get my pace. Not sure if it helped by seeing how slow I was going, but it may be helpful in the future. What would you do differently?: Lose some weight. It's holding me back. Just 10-15lbs Post race
Warm down: Just walked around and drank fluids. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training and weight Event comments: First time this race was put on, but Ironhead is not known for frills. It was well organized, just the transition area and roads out sucked. It's the same race as King Tut otherwise, so I will probably just do that one again next year. Last updated: 2011-04-01 12:00 AM

Got up at 4:00 to get ready. The usual banana sandwich and coffee.
Nothing.. just walked around and listened to music. They had some soft rock stuff playing which would have put me to sleep. The transition area sucked. I thought it would be the same place as the King Tut, but it was on the other side of the lake. It a grass field with lots of rocks etc. The run from the water to the transition area was along a little makeshift dam thing with rocks, weeds, etc.
