In need of Training Partners

I am not sure I can help you out, but I have a great friend who lives in Geneva and, while she doesn't do tri's, she does run and bikes a lot. Would you like me to send her your email/contact info? She is a stay at home mom who homeschools her two sons and is in her early 40s. She's fun and funny and nice and I wish I lived clsoe enough to ride and run with her!

Hey Abby! I am very new to the sport, I just started training to do my first tri next June (Batavia) I have alot of weight to lose and I am in the very early stages of tri specific training but it would be nice to have someone to train with. I live in Batavia and have a membership at Delnor.

This is awesome. I would love for us to meet and chat. What does your sked. look like. I will be out of town this week and could drop you a line when I get back. I have mornings clear. I too work out at Delnor. Small world.

I would like to meet you as well! Are you going to do the Batavia tri in June? I think that will be my very first tri!!! I am starting my tri specific training today, I have alot of weight to lose...I would hate to slow you down! I can't workout in the mornings, I usually workout at night. Actually I will attach my plan, let me know what you think.

There's a new tri club starting up in the suburbs.

Salt Creek Tri Club

Most of the initial members are in the Brookfield area, which isn't too far from you.  I'm up in the NW 'burbs ( Algonquin area ), so it's not restricted to just the one area.

Literally just starting it up, so not much in the way of details yet.

I'm in DeKalb. I'm not very good, but I'd be glad to train with someone, at least on an occasional basis. I'd probably hold you back if we did it regularly

The Batavia Triathlon is actually run through the city and not the park district. Last year the Quarry Beach Pool was so low with water that you had to run at certain spots of the swim.
