Leave them in the ignition with my Belgian Malinois in the front seat

 

 

 

 

Actually, I put them in the little key pocket in the back of my UA shorts.

If I don't have a zippered pocket I use a safety pin to attach a spare door key to my sports bra

blynott - 2011-05-11 10:46 PM I leave the key in transition.  For the most part there are only racers there and they have other things on their mind.  Should someone pick up the key, good luck in finding the car.  I usually have trouble finding it!

This.  My bike is worth more than my car and I leave that in transition - hell my running shoes are worth more than my car, so I don't worry too much the keys.  Anyone who wants my car enough to steal it during a race probably needs it more than me. 

But seriously, my race belt has a very small pouch which fits a key perfectly, or I leave it with my trusty sherpa/son.  Thank you Zack for all you do!

Valet key on a ring. Thread the ring through my bra strap or swimsuit strap if swimming. DON'T swim with the electronic key.  The valet key on the swimsuit is also effective when whitewater rafting. I figure if I lose my suit, I have bigger problems than having to call a locksmith to pop open my car.
