So who's racing the 3 Little Pigs? What is the course like? I'm looking forward to racing it in a few weeks!

I raced last year and its a veryt fast course. It has the best pool swim in the state, fast bike, and a flat shaded run. It doesn't get much beter that 3 little pigs triathlon!!!

I agree. I ran this race last year as a relay with some friends, and we're all going back as individuals this year. The whole complex where the event is run is very nice.

I am in again this year as well.  The only issue last year was the train.  Let's hope we are able to avoid that this year.

It was a nice flat course.

Ken, you get stuck behind a train, or were you drafting off of it? Cool, I'll be looking forward to seeing you again!

Andrew, you know I was drafting off of it.  I need all the help I can get.

I would have too! USAT rules only say about drafting off of other competitors, not trains!

See you there Ken!

Did this one as well last year, it was my 2nd race ever.  I was great.  Single lane swim if I remember correctly (up in one lane - flip under the rope - back in the other, vs up and back in the same lane).

Bike course was nice, train tracks to cross at about mile 2, it would suck to get stuck waiting for the train to pass!

Run course is paved and shaded thru the woods.

I do remember that Chick-Fil-A sponsored it last year and was demo'ing their new hot and spicy chicken sandwich.  By the end of that race, it was hot as hell - made the mistake of grabbing one by mistake, last thing you want when your sweating your butt off is a hot and spicy sandwich!!

I am in!  This will be my 2nd tri and am excited about the reviews of the race.  Got to love the flat bike course.  I am very impressed by the race director, sent him a couple of emails today and he responded quickly and I also got a phone call as well checking to see I had any more questions.  See y'all there.

This may be my first race. Been training on and off for a year. SOmehow I keep getting injured, preventing my debut. But looking healthy so far. So this is looking promising.

I did this one last year and loved it!  Swimmers all going in the same direction in the pool lanes was a big plus for me, no high-fives to the forehead!  Will be back this year to give it another shot.

Hey!

I'm excited to hear y'all enjoyed this race.  Is it good for beginners?  I did my first Tri last Sunday - the Ramblin Rose in Raleigh & LOVED it!

I'm in it for fun, moreseo than being fast/competitive, so looking for advice as to whether this is a good one for my 2nd Tri.

Thanks!

E
