Pre-race routine:

No day-before packet pickup so had to show up early to get bib number and chip.

Event warmup:

Quick half-mile sprint and stretching

Comments:

Started out strong. Settled in a good pace and sprinted hard for the last 50 yards to the finish. Best race finish. Second best 5K time.

What would you do differently?:

Not do this race. Should start my finishing sprint earlier.

None. Ate. Drank.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

People were allowed to bring their dogs......not good.

Event comments:

Not well organized. No starting line marked. Couldn't hear announcer since he just yelled and didn't have a megaphone. Post race activities were not clearly explained. Found the awards area. Waited about 45 minutes for times to get tabulated. They awarded about 5 age groups and discovered they had messed up on times and asked for all the awards back. Took another 30 minutes to try and fix it but decided to just email everyone their times and have them come pick up their awards. VERY FRUSTRATING! Would not recommend this race to anyone. Expected so much more from MTSU......

Course:	Flat. Fast. Entirely on the campus of MTSU. Too many 90 degree turns at the end. 6 within about 100 feet. Prevented super strong finish. Traffic was not closed off.
