Run
Comments: I was very nervous about this run. I had one really good training run about a month ago and since then they haven't been very good. I'm guessing because of the increased training for Steelhead this year. I also am starting to get some left foot pain/issues that did flare up during the run. However, the run went really well. I love to run in the rain so anytime it would start to sprinkle I loved it. The plan was to do 10:30 for as long as we could. Well apparently we were feeling good and was under 10:00's for around 7 miles. The middle mile, 8-12 were hilly and terrible, but after that we were able to pick it up and felt pretty good again. Sarah and I pushed each other. I started to pick it up with 2.5 miles left and she yelled at me to not open it up yet. Great advice. We did pick it up some, but still had some in the tank to sprint the last bit. Overall, I'm very proud of this performance. Bettered my time from last year by 10 minutes! What would you do differently?: Not much. Still need to figure out nutrition. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the car (up the Michigan St. Hill!). What limited your ability to perform faster: Sore left foot. Last updated: 2010-08-02 12:00 AM

Got up, dressed and ate a peanut butter sandwich.
Parked at the hospital and walked to The Amway Grand to meet some friends. Stretched a bit, but figured it was long enough to warm up on the first couple of miles.
