Stephanie & Doug, mainly Doug since you will be at the house. A guy I work with, and his wife are planning to come out to ride. No idea of a start time, perhpas around 9? They should be in for one maybe two loops, slow pace. Names are Joel & Maggie. I have told them about the wavier and to talk to you about getting it signed before starting.

Just wanted to give you a heads up, since everyone else seems to know each other.

Doug,
Update: There will be three of them, FYI.

Phat - be smart and earn your family time points. They are rare, so earn then when you can.

Awesome!  It will be great to meet them!  If you could PM me their email, I'll send them our address/contact info.

So far, it looks like we have about 17 riders and about 35 people in all.  It does not matter what time you show up, but it would be helpful to let us know you are coming or skipping so we can be ready with the food/waivers.

Nat/Brett/Steph/Brian starting at dawn.

Dan/Mindy starting on lap 2/3

Michelle/Cindy/Natasha/Lisa/Lisa's friend on lap 3/4 at 9ish

Neal/Danny/Larry after noon

Joel/Maggie/Pookie/Wes/The Wolf tbd

Very smooth sneaking the riding in before church, Kevin!

Stephanie,
Thank you for putting this together and looking forward to a great ride with everyone on Sunday!

I'm in for a few laps, but not sure of the exact time I'll be there.
Let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to bring for the BBQ.

-Justin

Dan says he will ride *maybe* 5 laps so we'll probably come around lap 3 and join the 9:00 crew.

The Brown Dogs put on a first class cycling event! Most memorable were the signs marking the route (especially the suck it up buttercup near the top of Mtn Park, the excellent food (homemade BBQ and boiled peanuts) and the great group of folks. Honorable mention goes to the route from hell. May have been the toughest 10 miles I have ever done x however manyloops you chose. Kudos to Coldfire who did 100 mikes with an avg pace of 17.6 (if memory serves me right), Brett who did 90, Natalie I think did 70+. When I left Steph was still going strong and I have no doubt that she finished her Hundy! Thanks for a memorable day!

Holy Cow!! That was the second hardest bike ride I have ever done in my life (Brasstown Bald Buster being the first). My Joule shows ~7500' of climbing for 90 miles and Mountain Park was as brutal as I thought it was going to be.

Thanks Brown Dogs for being great hosts, sorry I had to leave so quickly at the end.

Thank you everyone who came out and rode or spectated and supported Lifestrong, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (or the cancer foundation of your choice) and me!  It was a beautiful day and it was fun to see all of you.  Doug is clearly the master of the party because you guys were having a great time every time I came by!

Folks who donated in cash - if you want me to tell Livestrong/Prostate Cancer Foundation who you were (so you get credit and get on their mailing list) or if you have a preference for which charity your donation goes to, please pmail me with the specifics (amount, address, charity of choice) and I will report it.  If not, I will just split the cash evenly between the two groups. : )

Thank you!!

Holy crap! 7500' through 90 miles, WOW. I also agree that Mtn Park was as bad as I remembered it being; however, the climb from the Brown Dog's house to the road seemed to get worse and worse each time.

Great job to everyone!

Doug - your BBQ & boiled peanuts ROCKS!

Nat - the Mac & Cheese was great.

Steph - way to keep on rocking, and knocking out the full 100 miles.

It was great seeing all of the BT'ers out in force yesterday!

Sorry I missed it - I was too busy putting up a pathetic showing at the "Over the Mtn Tri" in NC.  Hope to make the next big GA BT event! :-)

Maybe a run next time.  We could rent out the cottage at the Leita Thompson Park and run laps through there.  Let me think on that and inquire at the park.

Well it wouldn't be a Brown_dog event if there wasn't an enormous hill to run up 10 times in that park. So just make sure the park has one of those!

x2 on the "sufferfest".  But I'll cry if you make me run 50 laps around a 2 mile loop.  We may need to revise the name of this discussion thread.
