Cheered so much that I lost my voice! I didn't have any way of recognizing the BTers out there, but I was the guy in the red/white doing all the cheering right before the special needs bags on the run (mile 8/17/25). A LOT of carnage out there! |

Congratulations TJ! Not sure if you remember but I saw you right outside of T2, I was helping in the women's tent but it was quiet when you came through, we were kind of loitering outside checking on the guys. I said "Go Swim Shops, Go TJ" as you were leaving on the run! Yay for you! |

Expert 885 | Subject: RE: IMTX watching thread Congrats to all finishers! I was out there all day spectating and volunteering as well. Saw TJ get out of the water (congrats on Kona!), heard several other BTer's names called out of the water, saw Marci while working the aid station. It was a hot, humid day and like someone else said - I don't think I've seen so many people walking. I worked aid station #4 from 6:30 on and it seemed like EVERYONE walked through the aid station. One lady even stopped to pat a dog. Some people looked very dazed an confused. Everyone was soaked from sweat and dumping water on themselves. To finish in those conditions is something to be proud of. |

This was my husbands first IM and he is now and IRONMAN! A huge shout out to the amazing volunteers out there. I was at special needs bag area cheering for hours! My friends and I went home without voices and with sore hands!! All the athletes were amazing. That course had a lot of carnage, and was super tough so all those who were out there are awesome in my book.
Now I know I have to do a full I'm just not sure which one yet.
Congrats to all that were out there you were all amazing and I was cheering for you all! |

SUPERSTAR BIKE CHAIN CONGRATS!!! You're still just plain ol' TJ "hotter than Phelps" Fry to me, though. Bummer. I've been on this site since 2005 and have never gotten the melon press. I thought Kona would get me one. Guess I will need to qualify for the galaxyman or somethin!
Thanks everyone for the support! Hopefully the third time is the charm. I seem to be snakebit over there on alii drive. |
