HIM - used to but don't any more.

IM - yes and I doubt I'll ever change that.

Compression - not until after the race.

For me the question is 'Do I spend 30 more seconds in T1, or do risk getting a blister?'  For me, anything past an Olympic is socks.  Its not even a question of whether I would recoup that time but comfort.

Yes to socks in HIM. I put them on in T1. Keep thinking about going sockless, even train a bit that way but come race day I go with socks.

Doing my first HIM in 7 weeks.  I am comfortable swimming 1.2 sockless Laughing,  riding 56 sockless, but won't attempt 13.1 without socks.

x2.

Socks in T2 for anything longer than a sprint.

100% sockless (in races) and loving it! I spray Trislide in my racing flats and have never had a problem.

Same here. I can do upto a 5k sockless but the 15 seconds saved is not worth the potential for a blister later on.

If I'm running or riding, I'm wearing socks.  All distances.  Just how I roll.

Unless you have bult up a resistance to the chaifing, you'd prob' be better spending the 20 sec to put on socks.
I trained through several blisters with a 'sockless shoe' and raced a HIM sockless, but the next HIM I had put no effort into going sockless so put on socks in T2, much faster overall.
