If I can get everything organized I will try and make this. The odds are not that good, but it is motivation to get all the little tasks that I have done.

Thanks so much for the invite!!

If I can adjust some pre-scheduled things in the morning I will make it.

I went out last Saturday for the first time to Twin Lakes and really enjoyed the workout.

Thanks again.

Won't be able to make it, my BT friends, but please report back how it goes. Would be interested in a Saturday a.m. sometime, but even those are hectic the next coupla weeks.

HAVE FUN EVERYBODY!

I'm on the northwest side of town, so will be riding from Hockley out to the great beyond and back.

the next 2 weeks my schedule make me tired just thinking it through -- but after that I'd definitely be up for a Saturday a.m. swim or ride sometime, early is usually good. Though I may be too slow. But do keep me in ride for future Saturday stuff, after these next 2.

By the way, Houstonians: mark your calendars for the Houston Marathon in January. I've noticed lots of BT'ers are running the 1/2 at least, and so plan to throw a post-race party for BT'ers and family and friends at my spacious Montrose townhome. (Spacious enough that we can designate a first floor bed & bath the "men's locker room" and a third floor bed & bath the "women's locker room" and still have room for all the food, family, and friends in the middle! ) For now just save January 15.

Yay! I'm glad you're "in". It will be good to meet you. Now I just need to work on adding 8 more miles to my long runs...

Ha, love that spirit, CitySky! "If I had some peanut butter, I could make peanut butter and jelly...if I had some jelly!" I'm working on the same, let's see if we can get to it by January!

I'd been eyeing the Houston Half, now I think I'll have to follow the pack!

Will do, Courtney.

Congrats on the decision on Houston Half.

It will be a great event.

I love running that race and look forward to running it in January.

Courtney

I didn't know you signed up for the FULL BOAT!!!

Congrats. I assume this will be your first full. You will love the experience.

I will be going on my long runs following Iron Star.

Right now my weekend runs are 12-15 miles. That will start moving up near the end of October.

I usually do my long runs on Saturday morning. There are a number of good routes that we use.

Hope to see you out there.

Don't worry. Any group worth their weight will not drop you or leave you alone! You will do great!!!!

At 7-8 miles, you are right on pace where you need to be.

Lots of organized runs in the fall as people tune up for Houston.

Ha - that makes a triathlon basically just peanut butter, jelly, and BREAD! Working on all three...

It is just like me to plan the party first, then train for the race. True to form, my Italian-grandma genes get more motivated by the thought of a bunch of people coming over to my house to eat than by just about anything else. It will be a blast.

Courney! That is SOOO BRAVE of you to decide to do the whole thing! Wow. Then again your background is in running...

My long run for this week will be Sunday night at Memorial Park, probably starting around 6:30 or 7pm. I'm aiming for 77 minutes, which at my pace will be just over 6 miles -- let me know if you'd like to meet up, or if this is just too dang slow for you.

Hey Gomez, you want in on this run? Anyone else training in the mid-12mm range welcome. The rest of you speed gazelles can run in the opposite direction and wave at us when we pass every 15 minutes or so.
